Bwindi Batwa trail is an experience organized to in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Uganda to encounter Batwa Pygmies in the forest who are believed to be original dwellers and keepers Bwindi tropical rain forest before it was gazzatted as a national Park in 1993, the Pygmies were relocated from Bwindi forest to the nearby villages.
For very many years, Batwa pygmies depend on forest resources for survival by hunting forest animals using spears and allows for meat and gathering plants and fruits for food. Batwa pygmies construct huts using trees, leaves and climbing plants from the forest for shelter.
The Batwa were evacuated from the forest in 1993 when Bwindi Impenetrable National Park was gazzatted and declared a world heritage and this changed their normal life because they had no land elsewhere and not used to life outside forest.

The cost of Bwindi Batwa trail / Batwa Pygmies experience ranges from USD 60 to USD 80 based on the number of people in the party however if you are looking at filming the entire adventure, you will have to pay USD400 per day per group.
Batwa trail experience takes up to 5 hours including both the journey to and from plus the real experience. However, adventure time may vary depending on the clients’ interests
