Checking gorilla permits availability in Uganda is very important if you are planning to have a gorilla safari. A permit is a document that allows you to be part of the gorilla trekking activity. You can get this gorilla permit from Uganda Wildlife Authority or a trusted tour operator at the same price. Uganda has two kinds of permits, the first one is the gorilla trekking permit which allows travelers to be around mountain gorillas for 1 hour and the second one is the gorilla habituation permit which allows travelers to be around mountain gorillas for 4 hours.

If you are done sending the money, you will send a scanned copy of the receipt of payment and the passport details for your permit to be booked. Gorilla trekking in Uganda’s gorilla parks can be done at any time of the year however there are months that are better than the rest. The dry months are the best to trek mountain gorillas in Uganda and they happen from June to September and December to February. They are characterized by little or no rainfall which keeps the trekking trails dry, the vegetation is short and thin with good views of the mountain gorillas and the roads leading to the park are in good condition.
Travelers can as well visit Uganda for gorilla trekking in the rainy season of March to May and October to November and this favors budget travelers because all lodges are at a discount.
