Gorilla trekking

Bushaho gorilla family and Bushaho gorilla family are the two mountain gorilla families that have been put in place for gorilla habituation purposes. The gorilla habituation experience is done for those that want to spend more than 1 hour with mountain gorillas. Gorilla habituation is done by 4 trekkers that are accompanied by researchers, conservationists, and armed ranger guides. When the trekkers meet the mountain gorillas, they are given 4 hours to be with these apes and be part of the activities that make mountain gorillas get used to human presence around them.
Birding

The Batwa people were evicted out of the jungle in 1991 by the government which needed to protect the mountain gorillas. They decided to settle around the park where you can go and watch them do daily activities, listen to stories of long ago, taste their local food, visit their businesses, and then get entertained by the traditional dancers.
