How to get there?
Mount Elgon is found in Mount Elgon national park in the northeastern part of the country. The mountain is best accessed using road transport which takes a single day. Most safaris start from Entebbe/Kampala and getting to Mountain Elgon takes 5 to 6 hours. From Entebbe, tourists drive through Kampala, Mukono, Jinja, Iganga, Mbale, and Kapchorwa where the mountain is found.
