Rushaga sector can be trekked at any time of the year

Travelers can trek gorillas in the Rushaga sector of Bwindi at any time of the year but there are months that are better than the rest. The dry months that occur from June to September and December to February are the best to visit Rushaga sector for they are characterized by little or no rainfall. The trekking trails are dry, vegetation is thin and short giving clear views of the mountain gorillas, photography is good and the roads leading to the park are in good condition.

Travelers most especially budget ones can visit the Rushaga region in the rainy season of March to May and October to November to enjoy the discounts on accommodation facilities because the lodge owners lower the prices to attract a few tourists in the park. The rainy season is however characterized by little or no rainfall that makes the trekking trails muddy and slippery, the vegetation is thick and tall giving unclear views of animals, photography is not clear and the roads leading to the park are in poor conditions.
