Bwindi gorilla trekking in June: Bwindi is the most famous national park when it comes to gorilla trekking in the world. The search for mountain gorillas takes you through thick vegetation cover where you spend 2-7 hours searching for the apes while meeting different park animals such as monkeys, chimpanzees, elephants, buffaloes, bush pigs, birds, and plants. When the mountain gorillas are spotted, trekkers are given 1 hour to be around them and this gives them an opportunity to watch them do daily activities, take photos and learn about their habits.

Each gorilla trekking permit costs $700 for foreign non-residents, $600 for foreign residents, and UGX250,000 citizens of East Africa. There are over 152 gorilla trekking permits in Bwindi but these are few compared to the number of trekkers therefore you are advised to book yours earlier in advance of 3-4 months to avoid last-minute booking disappointments.

What to pack for Bwindi gorilla safari in June?
