Kidepo valley national park is located in the remote and semi-arid parts of Karamoja region in the North Eastern part of the country covering approximately 1,440 km2 and it has been described as true African Wilderness due to magnificent endless views of rolling savanna doted vegetation.
Kidepo valley national park has a number of wildlife and over 475 bird species with a landscape that is perfect for memorable Uganda wildlife safari experiences. During your Fly in Safari to Kidepo adventure, expect to encounter animals such as elephants, cheetahs, ostriches,leopard, baboons, giraffe, wild dogs, buffalo, lions and several antelope species.
Day 1: Fly in to Kidepo- Afternoon game drive Safari
Meet and greet our company representative for briefing and later transfer to either Entebbe international airport or Kajansi airstrip to catch up with your 2 hours flight to Kidepo valley national park with smooth landing at kidepo air strip. You will be picked by your guide and transfer to your booked accommodation for check in, lunch and relaxation as you prepare yourself to experience your Fly in Safari to Kidepo with an afternoon game drive to spot lions, wild dogs, buffaloes, elephants, leopard among others. Dinner and overnight at Savanna Safari lodge.
Day 2: Morning game drive to Narus Valley- Visit to the Karamojong community
Have an early morning breakfast and drive to the park towards Narus Valley to spot cats and other animals, you take a lot of photos much as possible on your Fly in Safari to Kidepo package to capture great shots. Come back to the lodge for hot lunch and relax from your room with breathtaking views of the park! Later pay a visit the Karamojong people to explore their unique culture. The Karamojong are nomadic pastoralists who live in unique houses called manyatas, designed to be temporal due to their normal movements in search for fresh pastures for their animals. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Savanna Safari lodge.
Day 3: Game drive to Kidepo Valley- Hot Springs – visit to the Ik People
Begin this day with breakfast and head to the park for extra game drive on your Fly in Safari to Kidepo trip to spot a number of mammals and ostriches and other unique bird species. Visit the hot springs in Kidepo valley national park before going back to the lodge for lunch. Later drive to I.K indigenous communities at the border of Uganda and South Sudan to discover their culture. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Savanna Safari lodge.
Day 4: Fly back to Entebbe Airport or Kajjansi Airfield
Wake and take heavy breakfast, checkout and drive to the Kidepo Airfield to catch up with your flight back to either Entebbe international airport or Kajjansi airfield to end your Fly in Safari to Kidepo Valley National Park tour
